Ted D Bare

This review is about 9 years overdue. I’ve been getting my brazilian wax at Ted D Bare in San Jose since 2017, and I’m finally taking the time to share how great they are. Pai is my absolute favorite, although honestly everyone there is great. We all just have our personal favorites. They’re quick (about 15 minutes in and out), and incredibly skilled. If you’ve read the other reviews, you’ve probably seen people talk about their “pain-free” waxing. I was skeptical at first, but it’s honestly the closest you’ll get to a pain-free brazilian. Their technique really makes a difference. I 100% recommend them. Note that they don’t accept tips, so the price you see is the price you pay, and their booking system has improved so much over the years.

I have been coming to Ted D Bare for years, first discovered when I lived much closer but now I still make the drive whenever I need a wax! Even if I don't come super regularly their "esthie besties" are so great and make you feel like a regular anyway! I've seen several of their esthies over the years and they're all friendly, efficient, and keep it chill even if it's an "awkward" service. The location is in an unassuming small medical plaza, but as soon as you enter you already feel taken care of! Their space is awesomely styled and you can tell they all care and love their job. Something underrated to note is their policy (published on website and all) has always been to NOT accept tips, and pricing is very transparent while booking on the website! I had such a great experience here! The space is clean, modern, and thoughtfully designed, it feels comfortable the moment you walk in. The staff is professional, welcoming, and makes the entire process smooth and easy. What really stood out to me is their commitment to customer care, they don’t accept tips, which means the price you see is the price you pay. Ted D Bare the hair anarchists! I’ve been going to Ted D Bare since the first location with Jane. She cracked me up so much it was like standup comedy with a side of hair removal. I love their chill vibe and fun décor, which is kept meticulously clean. I’ve moved over the hill and still come back for service. Their online booking and paying platform make it super easy. Love their no tip policy, saves me a lot of money and spares me from the world’s most awkward strip show. Pai is now my go to girl and always makes me feel at ease. I had such a great experience at Ted D Bare! It was way less painful than any other waxing place I’ve been to in San Jose. The space is super clean and well-sanitized, and I love that it’s a no tipping policy!
