The Barber Shock

Went to this place for the first time after recently moving to the area. Couldn’t recommend this place enough, will definitely be coming back. Mike is one of if not the best barber in Philly, really slick fades, knows how to style a beard and unlike most Philly barbers won’t cut your face off with the blade. Moreover, Mike is a top guy, very attentive stops to make sure your happy, great convos and vibe. Definitely recommend this place,

Mike is the absolute best, I’ve been going to him for the last two years now and I’m happy I found him. Not only is the cut perfect every time but his shop is great too, good music, sports on the tv, and you never have to wait or feel rushed because of the one on one experience. Not to mention Mike is a great guy, easy to have conversation with and is happy to accommodate you if you want him to adjust the trim a bit here or there. I’d recommend him 11/10 times not only for a good haircut but also for the peace of mind that you’re getting an absolute professional.

I have been getting my hair cut by Mike for a few months now and I cannot imagine going any other place. He is very professional, kind, knowledgeable and attentive. He knows exactly how to cut my hair, I don’t have to say anything when I show up, I just sit down and he works his magic. I love that my appointment is my appointment. I don’t have to worry about a room full of people waiting or having conversations and interrupting my experience. His prices are very reasonable and the service is top tier. Mike provides the best cuts and conversations. He’s your guy if you want a high quality cut and like to chat sports, music, exercise, tv, or life. He books up quick so definitely get on the schedule if you’re considering it.

I've been getting my hair cut by Mike since my freshman year of college (2014) when he was charging $5 in a dorm room. Now, fast forward to 2022, and he has his own beautiful space and business. It's truly amazing to see. Aside from being a quality human and worthy of this kind of loyalty, Mike is a beast with the scissors. Any style, any cut, he seems confident and knows what he is doing. There is nowhere else in Philadelphia you should get your hair cut. Amazing dude, great atmosphere in the shop and in a central location. Can't be beat. Thanks Mike, you're the man.
