The City Nail Bar and Lash

I'm not a hand model by any means but I wanted to highlight the nails I got for my bday! 1 week strong today! I love them so much and am getting all sorts of compliments. Kimmy and I got creative together and she was cool with my indecisiveness/last minute requests. I chose the OPI base color old geysier to mimic the sky, as it was the first very cold day here in Colorado, and on gel-x nails. She was very accommodating in making sure we got the shape and length to my desired preferences. Although, the base color felt a little boring and flat, so we added blue sparkles, but what I really wanted was a couple of snowflakes (she hand painted them with this thing that looked like a ninja star!). But thennn the other nails felt left out, so we used the thicker white sparkles as the falling snow

I’m really disappointed with my experience. Before my appointment started, I asked about the price and clearly showed the stickers I wanted on my nails. I was told the total would be $75. The technician did an excellent job—she took her time, asked questions, and provided great customer service while doing my nails. However, the issue came at checkout. Not when we sat down, and not when she started applying the stickers, but when I went to pay—she told me it would be an extra because the stickers took longer than expected. That’s unacceptable. I’ve worked in customer service for over 20 years, and if I quoted a customer a price, I would honor it regardless of how long it took me to complete the service. If there’s going to be an additional charge, that should be discussed before starting,

I have been coming to see Holly for over a year and she is the absolute best!! I am very very particular about my nails and she never disappoints. Her creativity never ceases to amaze me, and my nails are always beautiful when I leave. She takes her time and I never feel rushed. She has helped me get out of my comfort zone on both shape and design / color. I would rate City Nail and Holly 10 stars if I could. Don’t waste your time going anywhere else.

I LOVE this place, it’s the only spot in Denver I go to get my nails done. I ask for Holly or Kimmie when I go, and I appreciate their attention to detail and care for my nails. My nails break easily, and after a few times of getting just gel Holly suggested starting with a dip base to strengthen them. Since we started using dip first, my nails don’t break!! I get so many compliments on my nails and I always tell people I go to City Nail Bar. They are AWESOME!!

I went to this spot at a recommendation of my hair stylist despite the reviews not all being positive. I can confirm that it wasn’t the cleanest and maybe I’m spoiled w my normal spot being the cleanest, but there weren’t any autoclaves or jars of barbicide. 5 days after my appt my nail broke and they fixed it at no charge but within one more week it broke again and two others followed suit. The nails were gorgeous but the quality didn’t seem fully there.
