This Salon is amazing; specifically Elisa who cut and taught me everything I needed to know for my hair, and Amanda who did my hair color! Elisa was so kind and helped find a stylist the same day to do my color when she informed me she will only be doing my haircut. She did an amazing job helping me find what cut would look best and be manageable while helping my waves be accentuated. She also took detailed time explaining what I’ve been doing wrong, recommending me affordable and good quality products, showing me how to style my hair, and everything. Amanda also took extremely detailed time helping me find a color that would look best and helping me achieve my color goal. I recently visited Classic Curl Salon and unfortunately my experience was deeply disappointing. My stylist was 20 minutes late, then spent an unusually long time washing my hair. I had specifically requested no product, but left with my hair so weighed down it looked greasy — like it had salad dressing in it. When I expressed concern during the appointment, she dismissed me saying "Don't worry, you're not going to look like that when you leave." I did. I also asked for the cut to be shorter in the back and longer in front. That didn't happen either. I had to fix the cut myself at home. To top it off, a child was loudly playing on an iPad the entire two-hour appointment, which made the whole experience even more stressful. I have found my curl place. Everybody leaving Classic Curl Salon has *amazing* hair; I have seen Amanda twice now and will ever go anywhere else. She's been flexible and accommodating, doesn't upsell at all, and got both my color and cut where I've been trying to get them for years. She gives honest feedback and opinions and knows her stuff. The last style she did for me after a root touch up lasted FIVE days with minimal refreshes; she's got the product application down pat and rolled with my preferences exactly as I wanted. I got a basic curly cut with a wash and a style. My hair when straight is past my butt (44 inches)and near waist length when curly (3c) I wanted layers to add shape but maintain most of my length I lost 15 inches of hair cut off and basically had a bob when I left. Im someone who doesn't like having short hair and my hair hasn't been this short since I was a little kid I was in tears for a day and a half and I got a refund but I do not recommend this place the stylists may be kind but they're not skilled enough to know how to translate what a client asks for to the finished product. I have a family member who has cut my hair for the last 21 years and I branched out to get a curly cut for the first time in my life and it was such an amazing experience! Mikayla was so nice and fun to talk to and she understood exactly what I was looking for and made me feel so comfortable and excited! I went in with a sort of imposter syndrome thinking my hair wasn’t curly enough to warrant going to a special salon and I left in shock that my hair was that curly and perfect! I can’t wait to go back, the styling gel made my hair unbelievably soft and it lasted perfect for 4 days!
