Go to Tae at The Curl Spot—she is wonderful! I’ve never been someone who’s good with hair; I just never had the hands for it. After spending so much money, I decided last year to go on a journey to learn about my hair. That’s when I found Tae at The Curl Spot. I started going to Tae in October 2024. She truly takes her time and genuinely wants to help you understand your hair. She’s patient, asks questions about your routine at home, and provides education tailored to your specific needs. She gave me instructions and recommended the right products to purchase. I love the education and clear guidance because I can follow instructions—and now, I’ve learned how to care for my hair better on my own. I’m even getting compliments on my hair when I style it myself between appointments! I see T

✈️ Took a last minute trip from NY to Dallas at the behest of a good girlfriend to visit and thankfully, I recalled Tae at The Curl Spot. I messaged Tae and within 24 hours, I was booked. How accommodating! 📚Tae is an expert curly girl stylist and educator. Tae expounds upon the canon of recommended products with thorough details including product ingredients, use, and application. I was so impressed. 🧴Tae completely dismantled the wash and go that was not working for me - at all. I was using the incorrect products and correct products incorrectly . My wash and goes were sticky and wasteful and I had no shape. 👍🏾Now? Well now, based on my hair texture, I am equipped with the correct products from shampoo and conditioner to gels, a glossing serum and hairsprays. I feel so empower

I’ve been going to Sonnie to get my natural hair Silk Pressed for a few years now and I have yet to be disappointed. Her energy is always upbeat and her work is unmatched in my book. Sonnie keeps my natural hair looking and feeling healthy and my curls always come right back after a wash. If you’re thinking about booking an appointment, do yourself a favor and pull the trigger!

Sonnie is a miracle worker! It's taken me over 40 years to know what to do with my hair. I have a weird curl pattern of tight 1/2 inch ringlets around the sides and back and then heavy loose waves on the top. So my whole life has just been pulling the top down to cover the frizz underneath. The education Sonnie gave me in my new client appointment was worth every penny!! I'm four days out now and I've still been able refresh and maintain the curls to keep my hair from frizzing! I can't believe how cute I feel! Sonnie was professional, kind, and attentive through my whole 3 hour appointment. There was downtime and she did work on other people that came in. But that was all while I was processing with different treatments or under the dryer. I've experienced many other stylists doing that

I will start by saying they are good hair stylist and if you want a cut or a press they will deliver there. That is why I will give 3 stars and not deduct more for areas she is lacking. This review is not in malice but I think she should be aware of what she is doing and if she does improve I will update review. I have been going to Sonnie for over 2 years now and she has cut my curly hair and pressed it as well. I do feel though she is pricey for the level of service you receive. 1. I feel at this price point she should be ON TIME. She is always about 30 or more min late as I said I have been going for 2 years so this is not a one off thing. Not sure if she overbooks, adds people in, lets people come in way too late but I think if I am paying 250+ for a haircut you should be on ti
