The Experience Unisex Salon

This is a long-overdue review, but I couldn’t greet 2026 without saying thank you to someone very hard-working and so special. A wise woman once said, “This is about my hair.” In honor of that, I want to show gratitude to the person who has kept my hair looking Fifth Element fine since I arrived in NYC! Thank you, Kiki, for seeing me through bad haircuts, bad chemicals, bad relationships, and always providing sage advice. Good times too—and for fitting me in, even last minute on Saturdays! Can’t wait to see more of you in 2026, and I suggest all y’all make appointments before she’s too booked and busy for all of us!

On tuesday night , I was going through it & sad because I needed my hair done asap for a occasion for the next day & I looked online to see if any hair salon was still open & available. & I came across this beautiful salon . Kiki was my hairstylist, I would say I was so grateful & thankful I met her . She did amazing job to my hair . She talked to me about what I should & shouldn’t do to my hair . She trimmed my ends & pin curled my hair as well💜 The after results was beautiful 😍 The salon was definitely a vibe . Everyone was so nice & friendly ❤️ I’ll definitely go back here in the future . I love a black owned hair salon that take care of our hair 👌🏾This place is definitely 10/10 recommend

I’ve been here twice before, for just wash, style and trim. But this time I made sure to send what I wanted ahead of time and to also price the style. I was told $200. NP. The first pic is the Color I wanted. The color I have is not at all what I wanted, it’s different yes but it’s not what I paid $255.00 for. Yes $255.00. Granted my hair was not in the best shape when I arrived with my boyfriend who had to work later on the same night but being overcharged when I was told the price already is just not right. We were so in a rush I didn’t even receive a trim, line up or a shape up, or was offered one for next time. I didn’t even realize how much I was charged until I checked my card history.

Kiki saved my hair, I had extreme breakage from bleach and needed a trim, she did an amazing job, I never saw my hair so shiny and smooth before, if you looking for an experienced and professional stylist Kiki is the right person for you!!!!

I’ve been going to The Experience Unisex Salon ever since I was a teenager. I love the ambience and the stylists/barbers are very courteous and professional. The prices are fair and I always leave looking great. My hair stylist Kiki is so knowledgeable and thoughtful. She will take the time to give you her honest opinion and advice. Over the years, she has given me her professional recommendation for my hair type, texture and gave me very useful tips. She’s an amazing hairstylist and will exceed your expectations. With her long experience, I highly recommend her to anyone.
