The Locksmythe Salon & Barbershop

I'm usually an "under 10 dollar haircut" guy. But my girlfriend surprised me with an appointment with Garrett for my birthday. I wasn't sure what to expect since she had only received haircuts from Garrett's wife, Becca. I was pleasantly surprised of the amazing job Garret did with my hair. The attention to detail and the skill of this man is superb. I came here not knowing what to get since I mostly get buzz cuts. Garrett was able to talk with me and use his years of experience and creativity to give me a perfect asymmetrical haircut, and quite honestly the best haircut I've ever had. It completely transformed my look. The setup of the salon/barbershop is really cool. Each one with it's own entrance and vibe. It is located downtown so parking is a little tricky. Candide is absolutely fantastic! She does an amazing job cutting my daughter’s hair, my sister’s hair, and mine. Her attention to detail, combined with her exceptional skill and ability to support and educate clients on how to style their hair, is outstanding. Truly an artist!

I love my hair and experience every time I go into the Locksmythe. Becca does incredible work. She listens and holds space while making me look fabulous. I always leave feeling uplifted. Their new location is sleek, modern and clean. And I love that there is ample parking.

I moved to the area three years ago and was lucky enough to stumble upon Garrett (owner) by chance. After seeing photos of his work online, I knew I'd found my guy. My first cut confirmed his talents. Now my son, my wife, and a couple friends go there too. And I can't tell you how many compliments we all get! The shop recently expanded to include a full-service barber shop in addition to the beauty salon, which is operated by his wife. They also have their own product line, Bru Pomade. They make top-notch pomades and shaving products. The place is usually booked a few weeks out, but it's worth it. Be sure to sip a cold can of Rainier during your cut, it's free.

I've gone here several times and received cuts from Garrett (co-owner). He gives excellent haircuts! He takes his time, makes great conversation, and turns the whole thing into an experience. The only thing that could make it better is if he served a Cubano sandwich while you wait. My wife and daughter see Candide here and have similarly great experiences.
