The Parlor

This small salon is amazing. When you are there it’s just you and your stylist, no one else there — one stylist and one client at a time. Quiet, clean and tidy, minimalist but nice decor, amazing value. Alma has been cutting my hair for 15 years and I can’t imagine I’ll ever go anywhere else.

Kristen was great with me and my daughter (5). She is incredibly personable. We appreciated her wearing her mask and us wearing ours. She kept the door open and no other stylists or customers were in there.

Kristen is great at her craft. For too long I went to discount haircut chains or old timey barbers that never quite got the style I was looking for. Kristen gets it right every time!

Fantastic independent operation with a friendly and knowledgeable staff. Very mindful of safety precautions, with a great selection of background music and just the right amount of air-conditioning to combat a hot and humid Chicago day. Top notch.
