The Rockin' Roller Salon

The actual haircut itself was awesome, thanks Brandy, but I’m reviewing the salon not the stylist. When I checked out there was a surcharge of 4.5% to use a credit card - it does not cost a vendor this much to process credit cards and just because the rules now allow this doesn’t mean its open season to charge customers whatever. Bring cash if you use this business - it seems that is what they want instead of the convenience for them of using a card.

Literally the WORST experience ever. DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON. I wish I would have done more homework on this salon before I went. My husband and I are moving to Wilmington in a couple of months and during one of our visits to the city I decided to try a salon out so I could hopefully find somewhere that I could get my hair done once we move. I used to go to Rockin' Roller when I was in college at UNCW and Tracy (who is no longer at the salon) always did my hair EXACTLY how I wanted it and was super talented with coloring my hair however I wanted it. I figured the rest of the stylists at this salon would be of the same caliber, but boy was I wrong. I reached out about getting an appointment and whomever it was that scheduled me put me with Sasha. absolutely love this salon!!! Kayley did an amazing job as always with my hair, best place to go to for curly cuts :)

Ladies Ms Kaylee is a magician……. Sent her inspo pics and color and can I say she NAILED IT!!!! Having never been here and need a tune up badly and wanting to change it up, she delivered professionalism, good energy, open communication and expectations and the ladies their getting their hair done up by the other stylists were all so friendly, welcoming and awesome! Would love to come back here and be a repeat costumer!

I almost cried actual tears when I saw how well my hair was taken care of. I have always been super anxious about going to salons because I usually feel like it's a place that I'm not "girly" enough to be in, but (I'm so sorry that I forgot your name) didn't try to force small talk when I was nervous, and the silence between conversations was comforting while she worked. The playlist for the store absolutely slapped every single track too. When my mom saw the results, she was so shocked that her first words were "Ok, this is the place that's doing your hair for the wedding." I can't wait to come back and have her see my unfinished hair looking better than ever with what I learned.
