The Strand at Sola Salons

Got a call the day prior to confirmed appointment that she wasn’t available and would have to reschedule. She gave me a highlight when I was scheduled for a balayage my roots were lighter than my ends which is the exact opposite of a balayage. The color was orange and brassy, she didn’t use any toner. The cut was horrible she chopped my hair. It’s going to take years to undue what was done by Abby. Will NEVER return.

I received noticed from Abby 10 mins after my appointment was to have started that she had a personal issue and would be 20 mins, which turned into 40 mins late. everything felt rushed. she was eager to take a break while my lightened set and didn't ask many questions to make sure my hair was what I was looking for. since she was late someone was waiting and she didn't even make sure I was satisfied. I would not return or recommend.

Very rushed I came in for 300$ worth of service for 150. They called her. I wanted highlights and a cut. She decided I just needed a cut. She called to get a refund and asked for another form of payment . So I paid twice 210 for a haircut.

My hair turned out decent (used the Groupon). From the beginning I felt like I was treated like a second class citizen because I was dressed comfortably and had a Groupon. I think Abby assumed I would not tip well because of it. She barely talked to me when I was trying to be friendly and when her ritzier looking client came in she was extremely friendly to her. Abby knows what she is doing as far as hair goes, but I have never walked in a salon and felt so judged. The ironic thing is that I actually have a PhD and make good money. Moral of the story: acting snobby and judging a book by the cover will not get you a return client.

Abby is fantastic! I have been struggling with my hair after going blonde a month ago. I've had a few salons attempt to lighten it and in turn my hair became fried. I finally decided to give up and just go back to my natural brown. I met with Abby and she thankfully talked me out of it. All the time and money I spent did not go to waste. She just improved my situation and I got to keep the blonde! And whatever shampoo she used made my head feel like it was getting a massage up to 30 mins after I left. It was awesome. She did such a great job I should have gone here first and will definitely return.
