The Tanning Studio

I’ve been coming to this tanning studio for years and have always had good experiences until today. I showed up at 4:58 to tan, not realizing they close at 5. I understand closing time is closing time, but I was surprised to be turned away when the parking lot was still full (meaning beds were in use) and there were shoppers in the boutique who weren’t being rushed out. I asked if they could fit in an 8-minute session and was met with a rude comment comparing it to going to a restaurant right before they close. That response really rubbed me the wrong way — an 8-minute tan isn’t the same as a 30–60 minute meal, and the tone made it feel like I was being disrespectful just for asking. I went to both the Weston location and the Rib Mountain location. Same owner, different management. HUGE difference between the two! Aesthetically both locations are the same. The equipment is the same and the general shopping selection is the same. What is incredibly different is the staff, the vibe. On my visit to Weston, the staff were standoffs, gave off the vibe that they didn't care of they were there or not. The one girl reminded me of a prisoner just doing their time and waiting for the door to open so she could leave. Completely opposite is my experience with Rib Mountain. Every staff member, manager included, has a smile on, greets you, will happily conversate with you, share knowledge and experience, etc. They give off welcoming, happy and warm vibes. Hands down, I will choose

Kelsey, Kylie, and Michelle are so amazing. They’re super knowledgeable on products, and kind. You’re always greeted with a smile and positivity. I go quite often and definitely find my self excited each time I walk in.
