The Upper Hand Salon: Memorial

Awesome experience at Upper Hand Salon! Expert Stylist Monica Figueroa is talented and attentive to my preferences and the unique needs of my hair style, texture and color. Sometimes she knows me better than I know myself! Highly recommend this salon for its hospitality, and professional atmosphere, product selection. Always see women leaving this salon with gorgeous hairstyles and a stunning look! Biased, of course, I think Monica is the best!

Please don't go here unless you know your stylist personally and know they do good work. If you're looking for a new salon, this is not it. The lady that did my hair mentioned she had years of experience and it didn't show at all. I was there for hours and hated my results. I went in for highlights with virgin brown hair, and came out with greenish highlights and patches all over my head. Not only did they charge me over $500 dollars they gave me a hateful look when I tipped her $20 dollars. Below are pictures of that day. I will never return here. Expensive and mediocre.

This was my 3rd appointment with Jackie and I honestly couldn’t be happier. Every time I come in she makes me feel so comfortable, listened to, and confident. She really cares about her clients and it shows in both her work and her energy. I always leave loving my hair and feeling my best. I’ll definitely keep coming back!

My first experience at Upper Hand Salon was a very positive one! Sherry is very experienced stylist with many years at UpperHand. BONUS… She is also quite personable! I’m very pleased with my updated haircut and style! I’ve been growing my hair out for the past 2.5 years but it was looking a bit unfashionable. So, at age 71 with white and silver hair, I wanted to go to someone who works well with a more mature client. Sherry fit the bill perfectly!

Oh lord ! I had so big hopes for today’s service ! First my highlights looked green and we tried some more toner to make them look better. Got home looking like I just went to the cheapest place in Houston after paying almost 400 dollars ! You know getting out of a salon with the hair looking all brassy and cheap… I don’t even want to imagine how this is going to look after a few washes ! Did I mentioned that my highlights still look green ? I really hope they answer to this post
