The Westside Hair Studio

I’m almost afraid to leave this review because I want to keep Susan and her hair studio all to myself, but because other google reviews led me to her, I think I need to pay it forward! She is so talented. Since I recently moved to Boise from back East, I’ve had so much worry about finding the right hair stylist. I’m very picky and don’t have an easy head of hair to color, but Susan nailed it the very first time. She chose an even better base color than my previous stylist of over a decade, and the placement of my highlights are absolutely perfect. I can’t recommend Susan enough….what a gem of a lady, too!

Susan has been my hair stylist for almost a year. I love going to her and get my roots touched up every 4-5 weeks. She does a great job, is fun to talk to, and I always leave looking and feeling better.

Over the years, and in a few different states, it has not been easy to find someone who can match my natural strawberry blonde hair color. Most of the time, with other people, the color came out so fake looking. Susan has been able to get my color right and it looks perfect and natural, and I am so happy with the color and the cut that she provides. She carefully listens to what her client wants and then delivers. She also pays attention to what ingredients are in the products she uses, and will change when she finds better options. I need to use products that are gluten-free and good for sensitive hair and skin, and she was already doing that when I found her! Susan has been doing my hair for almost 15 years & I love her! She has great suggestions but doesn't push me to do something I'm not comfortable with. She is a real person who doesn't put on a fake persona which so many others do in "the fancy salons". She has a warm and welcoming studio and yes, the sweetest, friendliest dog in town.
