Normally I don’t get my haircut at random barber shops but due to an event that I had on the weekend I chose to take a risk, and this may have been one of the most costly decisions I’ve made in 2025. I walked in the barber shop, and got a walk in appointment, and I walked out with a pushed back hairline, and in less than a week, the freshness of the cut is already gone. On top of that this was the most I’ve ever payed for a haircut in my life $60. The people were there were kind and the aesthetic of the place was good but the product was not BAD, extremely disappointed, and don’t plan on returning.

Tight N Up Barber Salon in Bowie is the real deal! My son gets his taper fade done by Julien, and it’s consistently on point. From day one, he actually listened to what my son wanted and came through with a clean, sharp cut. Ever since that first appointment, he won’t let anyone else touch his hair now. He gets compliments on his haircut everywhere we go, which is a true testament to Julien’s skill and attention to detail. The atmosphere at the shop is welcoming and has a chill vibe, and it’s clear they take pride in their work. If you’re looking for a barber who gets it right every time, Julien at Tight N Up is the one to see!

Shaq is that dude, I've been barber shopping since the pandemic and I popped in on a whim, came with my old man fro and left out with a new-new. A random dude on the street gave me dab on it, but more importantly my wife liked it a lot and she is skilled at finding flaws. I might have found my barber for my regular maintenance. The cost is a bit more, but you get what you pay for, I liked the option for scheduling out as well.

Great available, I scheduled a next day appt on the app. I took off a star because the app checked us in and was suppose to notify me when they were ready for us and it didn't. So don't wait in your car, just go in. The cut made up for the rough start. I think the barbers name was Julian, he did great with my sons cut. I am very satisfied. My son cannot sit still and will never go back to a ruff barber. My son is happy and we found his new barber. I give the barber 5 stars...

I have got a squirmy kid. We were once told at another shop in town we couldn’t get his hair cut because he did not sit still. So we had to walk out with nothing. Since then we have been to a few places trying to find which barber shop is the best fit for us. This one is it! Been going for over a year now. Shout out to Shaq for his patience. My boy looks great! We are grateful for finding Tight N Up Barber Salon.
