Tina's African Hair Braiding

Tina the owner is a beautiful person. Sometimes you may walk in and she’s busy. However not rude. Meaning she will give you an answer nicely about her next open appointment. If you walk in and she’s available OMG THE QUICKEST, NEATEST BRAIDING. I also enjoy the young ladies she might have with her. They don’t do hair styles they’re not familiar with or techniques. I have 2 braids done. I done had just about everything don. I’m 35 now and I’ve been going to Tina Hair Braiding since I was in high school. Birthdays and even my baby shower!!! Just Go& Find Out 🥰

The women who braided my hair were great. I got medium sized box braids that were a little past my shoulders. The process was actually very quick. Only took them 3 hours. They did not braid too tight and it was not painful, I am tender headed so that was a relief. Very nice and neat braids. I also got a wash as well, which was an extra $10 and I brought my own hair products which they were cool with. I paid $120 altogether for the entire service. Beautiful braids.

Tina and her assistant did a very good job on my braids. She was finished within 3.5 hours, which is fast. I was the first one there though. My braids were neat and she didn't pull my edges which I was concerned about!!

I came to get a box braid bob and showed the owner the picture. She agreed that she would be able to do the style. She ended up braiding too tight and did not style the hair like I wanted. I have to take out my hair now and waist the money I spent. She took the money before completing my hair because she knew I was not satisfied. Not coming back here

I am new to Newark and this is the First shop I have been to. I got jumbo box braids and I love it. I think she’s the Owner that did my hair , she did it EXACTLY how I wanted. Fast and Very Neat. I will definitely be back. Very Satisfied
