This girl does terrible work. She cannot trim correctly, she did not give me a hair treatment even though that was included in the package I paid for and then proceeded to say the fake “silk press“ she gave me was stiff because my hair was dry. If my hair was dry and I paid you for a hair treatment, why didn’t you treat my hair, so that it wouldn’t be dry? I would never go back there again and I would recommend others who may suffer from damaged hair to NEVER go here because she does not have the knowledge on how to treat or style damaged hair and her lack of skills is an abominable waste of time and money. If you are looking for a true silk press do not go here. You will get a basic press and curl that you could do better at home.

Mika's salon was peaceful and quiet. I went in for a silk press but didn't get a traditional one. She doesn't set her silk presses at all (not a good thing), and 'just uses silkening drops'. My primary concern for coming into the shop was my hair feeling dry and having split ends. Because I bought the Level Up Silk Press I expected some kind of hair treatment for the dryness since a treatment is included, but I only got a shampoo and conditioning. When I asked what treatment my hair needed she told me it didn't need one at her discretion. I asked about Keratin or olaplex as options for the treatment and she told me no to that because my hair wasn't breaking off in her hands so she thought I didn't need anything like either. Hands down Meka is the BEST hairstylist I've been to!!! She's so nice, professional, gentle on my hair, explains everything thoroughly and made me comfortable both of my visits. First time going today and the experience was phenomenal. My new stylist Meka was so professional, friendly, kind and patient. The environment and energy was pleasant. And my hair came out way way better then I expected. I was so nervous because I hadn't had my hair trimmed in a long long time and some stylist get scissor happy But Meka showed me how much she was going to trim and in the end she brought out length in my hair that I didn't know​ I had.
