Topper's Barber Shop

Lukas absolutely crushed my haircut. One of the best I’ve had in years. Too bad I live 1800 miles away, when I’m in VB I’ll be back for a cut and shave again. Haven’t felt this sharp in a while.

Called this place yesterday to see if they were taking walk-ins. I'm a man, but I know my voice sounds softer over the phone. I get that all the time lol. Receptionist was rude and interrupted me to say they don't cut women's hair. When I tried explaining I'm booking a men's appointment, she interrupted me again to say it'd be fine so long as it's an actual men's haircut and "don't tell your friends where you got it done because we don't want women coming here." I was honestly so taken aback by that I just ended the call. Im not really offended she thought I was a woman. Like I said, I get that a lot and I pretty much expect it to happen. My thing is, even if it was a woman making the appointment there's a lot of butch women out there who do get a men's cut. Seems weird to want to turn awa

Toppers is the best barbershop experience in Hampton Roads. Jesus has been cutting my hair for almost 10 years, and I can't recommend him enough. Everyone in the shop is cool, down to Earth, and they all give high quality cuts. No matter how far you're coming from, Toppers is worth the trip.

Family friendly and a more craftsman style barber shop. Jesus definitely does great work tho. Prices are hefty but you are definitely getting what you pay for.

I don’t know what it was but it was a long wait. I’ve never waited that long for a haircut when two barbers went even cutting anyone. One was on her iPad and the other man just disappeared. I was the only one on the waitlist and they didn’t say a word to me or nothing. I was really disappointed. I even had time to go to an atm down the street to get cash since they are cash only. Maybe it was one of those days but damn did they miss out an a good tip and a good review.
