This was my second visit to this salon to get my daughters (ages 6 and 10) haircuts. They both got light layers and a blow dry. I was told the total was $120 — $30 each for the cut and $30 each just for the BLOW DRY. I mentioned their hair was already washed, but they shampooed it anyway without confirming if it was necessary. After I questioned the price, it was lowered to $90, but that’s still steep for basic kids cuts, especially at a hole in the wall salon in a rough neighborhood, NOT a boutique or upscale location. The only reason I stopped here was because it was convenient while leaving my parents house. I went here in January and received the worst cut — possibly in the history of the world — definitely of my life. My hair was long layers, just past my shoulders. I wanted the length rounded a little, freshening up the layers. The very first cut made was straight across, slightly below my ear (pictured), removing a good 7 inches of length. It was done so quickly, I could not stop it. There was no gentle combing, dragging a little hair between two fingers, snip-snipping. Nope. It was pick up a handful of hair like gathering a ponytail, whackety-whack, hair gone. I was in total shock and know it wasn’t just me in complete disbelief because another person working there witnessed the First Cut of Doom, and the look of horror on her face equaled mine.
