True & John NAILS

edit; they didn't tell me about any charges for their little nail care kit or a deposit so i don't know if that was added in. i didn't receive a 'sanitary' kit or whatever they call it. i also never paid a deposit unless he just added that without telling me but to my knowledge it was 140 for just nails. first pic is what i asked for the rest is what i got. service was pretty bare minimum, I thought i was getting my nails done by true, and john was the one to do them even though I said I would wait for her since I got there early. don't get me wrong the nails aren't horrendous but for 140+15 dollar tip they weren't what I asked for. I was not satisfied with my time there , I asked for one thing and ended up with something completely different. John did my nails and instead of telling me he couldn’t do the flower I initially asked for he tried selling me on something else. Besides his poor care for customer satisfaction, I also got a pedicure and he was being a little too harsh on my feet, and I am 9 months pregnant.. I also asked for acrylic on my toes and he responded with “it’s too late I already put on a base coat”. I honestly think he didn’t really care he was on his phone 24/7 . Then tried to charge me the original price and only lowered the price by 5$. If you’re gonna go to this nail salon I recommend booking with True. I had high hopes for this salon as what they post on social media always looks amazing. I was excited to go to a small personally owned shop that was by appointment also as I grew very tired of chain nail shops. I get dip manicures done as a have decently long very healthy natural nails and I don’t like the bulk of acrylic. I went to this salon twice and they have a VERY small selection of dip colors. I’ve been to many salons around for dip manicures and this is the only one that has ever used polish on top of dip. John is extremely rude, yanks your arms and hands around very aggressively and acts highly irritated and annoyed that he’s having to do anything at all for you even though you’re a paying (and tipping) customer. Their dip manicure prices are the highest I’ve ever paid also. Both

I booked with True online but John ended up doing my nails. He was rude, aggressive, and as soon as I sat down he told me I only had one hour so pick something quick. I ended leaving extremely dissatisfied. After cutting my nails too short he ripped the tips off to reapply. Throwing things, snatching my hand. I had to ask him to stop being so rough. I regret not just walking out! I paid $145 on my BIRTHDAY (pedicure included) to end up with mediocre nails. I thought my toes would be pearl white but came out silver (I chose not to change them because of timing). Apparently all new clients get handed off to the main person who obviously doesn't want to be there and has zero customer service or people skills... John. True was very sweet and tried to be helpful while working on other clients.

I've been getting my nails done by True and John literally for the last ten years. I've followed them to three different nail salons and I'm always happy with my results. John always does what he can to create a design that I have envisioned, even if he has never done it before. They are both incredibly friendly. The salon is very cozy and clean. I cannot recommend True and John enough. <3
