Tu Nails

I had left a previous review probably 5 years ago about a disappointing manicure I had gotten where I was assured the tech could do a simple heart design, and it came out awful. Despite this, I continued returning to Tu Nails only for pedicures about every 3 weeks. I was a loyal customer as I felt their pedicures were generally a good service for the price and the location is close to me. I have probably spent thousands here in total over the years and should have switched shops earlier. However, my pedicure on Saturday was the last straw and I will be taking my business elsewhere. The only reason I am giving 2 stars is because there are a couple great techs there like Sandy and Christina. TU Nail Salon Woodbury, MN branch I would not recommend this place. The salon has a dark interior, and the lighting at each station is extremely poor — the nail techs are working almost in the dark. I believe most of the mistakes in my manicure were due to this low visibility. They did not clean my nails, trim cuticles, or properly prep my hands before applying the dip powder plus gel polish. The service felt rushed and careless, using harsh manual drills, which left me with small cuts. It was clear the tech had difficulty seeing what she was doing. After finishing, they applied oil to my hands, which I now realize was likely to mask all the imperfections. Just two days later, you can clearly see: • Gel polish not covering the full nail • Uneven application • Leftover color from my prev

Been coming for 6+ years. The best of the best, and to top it off, every employee has a great sense of humor. My mom and I love coming here for pedicures, but the best part is the sassy staff. They are an absolute delight. Wouldn’t go anywhere else!

I give this place five stars because my nail tech was amazing her name was Vivian. I asked for these brown polka dot nails in a picture, and she did them better than what I expected.
