ULTRA NAIL BAR

I came to this salon last week to get my acrylic nails taken off and to get a manicure. When my tech pulled out a box of tips, took a tip out, and started going underneath my acrylic with it, I made a complaint stating I wanted them soaked off and not taken off that way. She failed to listen. Plus, If you’re not using any product to take off my nails (such as acetone solution) then you really shouldn’t charge me for a take off. My finger hurt for like two days afterwards and I realized that in doing that technique, she tore the nail off of my nail bed. I can see why this place has low ratings and I will not be back. I hate it because it was in a convenient location for me. I will be learning and doin my manicures at home.

I’ve been getting dip powder for almost 4 years, I went to this spot out of convenience last week. I would say for the price they’re charging the quality of the dip powder is poor. After 1 week my nails started chipping. I’ve had dip powder last 5 weeks from nail salons at Wheaton mall. When I left the salon I noticed the cuticles weren’t well manicured (my hair would get stuck in between the nail and acrylic when washing my hair). This is the first time I’ve seen poor quality dip powder. The price to value is just not there. There are other salons within the area that charge the same and give better quality nails.

Saturday, Nov 19, 2022, after a brutal week at work, I decided to treat myself and do my nails at the salon The lady that attended me was very amiable, and pleasant to be with. My heartbreak for my review. I paid $55 and expected good service, and the photos speak for themselves. Some nails looked nice, but at some point, I saw she was in a hurry to finish and didn’t take the time for the details in my nails. Maybe this is not her fault is how the business works, and she has to get as many clients as possible and hurry from client to client. Worse $55 ever spent.

The staff were polite, but I will not return. When I arrived for my appointment, my nail lady never washed her hands. I was having gel nails removed and after using the drill, she put foil on my nails to soak. She let them soak during my whole pedicure which was almost an hour. Soaking them this long caused my fingers to hurt because the chemical soaked not only into my nails, but into my skin. When she removed the foil, she pressed on them hard to pull off both the foil and the cotton. It was very painful. The color I wanted was not available for both my gel hands and regular polish feet. I feel like a coward writing a review when I didn’t say something to the manicurist but I was in shock with how I was treated. I froze, sadly. My first time going this Saturday it looked really nice and I was excited I stopped in but once I sat down just to get a basic pedicure and to remove my nails the manicurist was very rough with me. She yanked my hands when doing them. She shaved my fingernails down to a nub. Like literally scrubbing my skin. She also seemed sort of angry that she had to do my nails by the way she slammed the tools down and pulled my cuticles out with the remover. It was so terrible I just asked for the nails to be removed and that’s it didn’t even want the pedicure.
