Vain Salon

I cannot say enough amazing things about Mare (glam.by.mare) at Vain Salon in Englewood. I originally posted in Bergen County Moms looking for recommendations and an approximate price range to repair, color, and highlight my daughter’s box-dyed black hair. Many stylists were understandably hesitant, explaining it could take multiple appointments and that the desired outcome might not even be achievable. Mare reached out to us, reviewed photos, and confidently agreed to take on the challenge. We went in yesterday and were absolutely blown away by the results. She went above and beyond, working tirelessly for over 7 hours straight to make sure my daughter’s hair came out beautifully and it truly exceeded our expectations. Marianna does such an amazing job! She makes you feel comfortable and listens to your needs. She explained exactly what she was doing so there was no surprise, recommended highlights that worked for me and covered my roots perfectly. She also gave me the best haircut I’ve had in a long time. As if that wasn’t enough, her makeup skills are amazing too! You can tell she really cares about her clients and wants to make them look their best. I would recommend booking Marianna, you’ll be so happy you did!

I highly recommend Marianna for makeup for any event! She has done my makeup many times such as special events like graduation or attending a wedding as well as my headshots for work and I wouldn’t trust anyone else. I have been coming to Vain salon for 7 years and traveling over an hour away just to see Wave because she is incredible!! Vain salon is the perfect place to go to feel pampered and glamorous - Wave and Abby are simply amazing. From the moment I met Wave, she has transformed my hair color. She truly has hands of gold and knows exactly what looks good. She is a master colorist and hairstylist, and even better person who deeply cares about her clients!
