Vardit Hair Salon

I have been going to Vardit on and off for years when I am in town (can it be over 20?). I have very curly (and often long) hair and she has always given me the very best cuts. I have seen a number of curly hair "experts" in NYC and other cities, but no one cuts my hair, cares for it, and gives advice about hair as well as she does. She recently cut my teenage daughter's hair for the first time which is curly and very very long. My daughter has always been disappointed that no one really notices when she has had 4 or 6 inches cut. This week with less taken off, teachers and friends have been complimenting her on her haircut. Vardit knows the best products for difficult hair that actually work; and she is not trying to sell one expensive product lines like so many other salons. Add to this

She is warm and friendly and asks a lot of questions to learn you better. I liked my service very much until the $100 up charge at the end. My service was about 3.5 hours and I have a lot of hair( never charged extra). It was in shock but mostly I was very lucky I could pay that in todays challenging times.God is good. I was informed that the haircut was $90 when I walked in. So I paid a extra $190 from phone quote.Great hair stylist otherwise and will have you looking gorgeous. Bring extra cash or check as no cards are used here.

I forgot why I stopped seeing Verdit. Many years later, when my stylist moved out of state, a friend recommended Verdit, so I tried again, I saw her 3 times always saying one length, no shag. This fall I came very, very tired all I said was I'd like it short. I ended up with Bob and about 30 layers. I'm furious, absolutely hate it. I will never see her again. The Bob is her thing, not mine. Whether you like it or not, it's her signature cut. I was way too tired to notice right away. Or I would not have paid her. I told her that as soon as I realized what she did, I did want my money back, it will take at least 2 years to get all these layers out. After telling her how unhappy I was and that I want my money back. She ran to cash the check. IMHO character is flawed as well.

Vardit has a rare talent: she delivers innovation that is personally appropriate. She is a magician.
