Woodhouse Spa - Walnut Creek

I booked the meditative mood soak which include exfoliating, a 20 min soak in a bathtub, and a massage. I love the space it is really beautiful, and the employees are friendly. My only complaint is that the time listed for the meditative mood soak is 1 hour 45 min, but my actual service lasted 80 min. The service was 20% off ( weekday special) so overall a worth while treat.

Please know I hate to write negative reviews for any business, but I had the worst experience I have ever had at any spa ever at Woodhouse Day Spa. They let another customer take my treatment as I was sitting there waiting in my robe. I told the staff that I thought that someone responded to my name being called while I was waiting. After finally being able to confirm that another customer did respond to my name (we did not have the same name), they proceeded to tell me that instead of being able to receive the 80 minute service I scheduled, they would only be able to provide the 50 minute different treatment that the other customer scheduled. But to compensate for this, they offered me a free add-on service during a shortened service that I did not schedule and that I would still have

I went for the firm + renew facial. The ambiance was very relaxing, and the massage portion of the facial felt great. It was advertised on their website as a facial to “restore firmness and repair fine lines, leaving you with a plumped, hydrated, and radiant appearance.” I honestly do not notice a different at all, and the silver foil mask felt like a regular sheet mask I could have used at home. I was a little disappointed given the price point ($270 with tip) I was expecting to see some improvement in my skin’s appearance, but sadly I see none.

I had a very disappointing experience at Woodhouse Spa in Walnut Creek. We scheduled a couples massage specifically requesting to be in the same room. We arrived on time, checked in, and were escorted back to begin our services. After we had already undressed and were prepared for our massage, we were informed that the appointment could not be accommodated as scheduled because the therapists needed breaks. At no point prior to our arrival were we notified of any staffing adjustments or scheduling conflicts. Instead, we were told, after we were already ready for service, that the massages would have to take place in separate rooms. Luz was my massuce. I was explaining to her that I had a bad fall a month ago and all though nothing was broken I've been extremely sore. I asked for a swedish massage with light pressure just to get my blood moving around. She listened to what I needed and gave me the most amazing massage I've ever had. When I left my body felt so much better. I will be rebooking with her again very shortly. The staff at the front desk was also very kind and the Spa itself was very clean and relaxing. It was a wonderful experience.
