Just got my haircut from James H., and he absolutely crushed it. The attention to detail was on point, the fade came out clean, and he made sure everything was lined up perfectly. He’s professional, easy to talk to, and clearly knows his craft. Easily one of the best cuts I’ve had in my life. Highly recommend James if you want a barber who really takes pride in his work.

As a Black customer, it can be hard finding a barber who really knows how to work with our hair. I tried this Black-owned shop and the difference was clear. The cut was clean, the service was great, and they actually listened to what I wanted. Highly recommend.

I walked in today and gave James artistic licence to trim my hair and beard however he thought it would look good. He did an amazing job! Such attention to detail... This is no rush job. Great new shop, and cool atmosphere. Thank you sir!

I asked for a low taper fade and gave clear, detailed instructions—fade just above the ear, more length in the back, textured top, and bangs trimmed to sit at eyebrow level. Instead, I got a full skin fade all around, no lineup, uneven blend, and choppy bangs. The back looks unfinished, and the cut just isn’t clean. He spent a good amount of time on the fade, but it still came out bad. Then he rushed the top in like two minutes and didn’t even follow what I asked for. As an experienced barber, you’d think a basic taper would be simple to get right—but this wasn’t it. I paid $60 and now have to shave my head just to fix the damage. I’d like a refund. To future customers: be cautious. Be very specific and double-check your cut as it’s happening, or you might walk out with something comple

James (the owner & barber) was incredible! My nephew is visiting from Iowa and was able to get him in. His professionalism, cleanliness, and knowledge of expertise is recognizable as soon as you walk into the shop. Beings I myself am in the beauty industry, these top 3 things are what catches my attention. (My nephew wanted to get his haircut by Travis Hunter’s barber haha, that’s why I didn’t do it myself) I’ll be sending all of my clients husbands to James from here on out!!
