Yacine Hair Braiding

I recently visited this African braid shop and unfortunately, my experience was not the best. When I called ahead, I was quoted one price, and upon arrival I showed a different style with larger braids, which she said would still be the same price. That was fine with me, as I was pressed for time and accepted her price as it was. The real issue came once the style was finished. My hair felt extremely light, and as a braider myself, I know how the density of braids should feel. There simply were not enough braids in my head. When I mentioned this, the stylist brushed it off and told me it would feel thicker once it dried. If I could do 0 stars I would. I had the WORST experience at Yacine Hair Braiding! The shop was super small, and there were wasps flying around inside – totally unprofessional. I was quoted $60 for a braid takedown + $10 for a wash. But after she took out my braids, she tried to charge me $65 for the takedown and $15 for the wash. Then, she said I wasn't getting a wash at all because she didn't comb out my hair during the takedown. Like, what?! She was so rude and unprofessional. She even followed me to my car, calling me uneducated because I called her out on changing the price after the service. Now I'm home with a head full of knotted, nappy hair and a ton of fallout. Seriously, save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else!

First time here and I asked for large box braids I showed them the picture. They gave me a price of $185. So I normally only need 4 packs of hair but always get an extra pack just in case but its never used. So they get started and first thing is Im natural type 4c hair. They were combing my hair without holding it and it was so painful that my neck started hurting. She proceeded to braid my hair and Im thinking ok she is almost done, uuuhm she tells me I need another pack of hair, Im like really? She said yes. So they used 6 packs of hair. I didnt even realize the magnitude of how much braid hair was put on my head until I got in my car. I was like OMG! Nothing like the picture at all. It was so much hair that my neck was hurting and I couldnt sleep properly. After a week and a half I end

I should’ve read the comments but I was in a bind and hadn’t had my hair done since ny daughter passed. Upon entry a lady was “nice” until 1 hour into I asked for another braided. She informed me no one could braid human hair tight but the one lady braiding my hair. Initially I started with 2, That turned into a loud disagreement on both ends. I was told I did not ask for 2 braiders so I wouldn’t have been informed. I’m unsure of this place and the owner. It doesn’t seem as though they actually care for what their customers need. I’m sure my comment will be deleted but if you’d like to see my video I’ll DM you ♥️ pls try local black braiders. “Braiding shops “ like this are valuing customers less and less everyday.

Bad service horrible attitude composure lier told me to drive 30 minutes away and she said she will do my hair once I got there she told me no the lady who supposed to do my hair left. A huge waste of time and a scam tried to get me to cash app her the money before I came knowing she wasn’t going to do my hair at all kept calling for me to come playing it off a very horrible experience I advise you to never go here.
