From the moment I stepped in she was more interested in trying to sell products (olaplex) than giving me a good haircut. I specially told her to not decrease the length and just give a trim for the split ends and shape the hair. Of course she had to chop off 4-5 inches of my hair! I went through groupon and she charged extra 40$ as my hair's length was below my shoulders. She said it would be extra 45$ for a blow dry which I politely declined. She hardly spent 10 minutes to mercilessly chop off my hair and again tried to sell her products. I left very disappointed with short and damp hair.

Amazing how the salon owner only thinks about herself and taking care of her family members. I was completely generous to her and her family and personnel (the personnel she hired were amazing!) and the owner kept taking everything for herself and her family members. I had to tell her enough was enough as she kept asking for more money as if my generosity did not matter, which it did not matter how much I gave to her, her siblings, nor did it matter as I referred her services to many potential clients. She wants everything to go to her family and her business! No matter what type of service she herself offers. Be careful! I was not careful. I paid a huge and difficult debt where I will never be repaid from her family for their taking my money.

Vivian did a beautiful job on my hair. I went in thinking I just wanted to go back to my darker roots but her honesty and insight changed my mind and I went with the vision she came up with. Vivian is an artist, she has perfected her craft and I think I have found my go to salon. I highly recommend this place. The salon is also very cute, clean and trendy!

Best men's cut in NOVA (or anywhere for that matter). I recently moved to NOVA and was trying to find a new shop, after going elsewhere for a couple cuts, and began to feel like just a number, to the point I asked for a mid-fade and they basically cut most of my hair to include the crown with number 1 and 2 clippers. Then my wife recommended Yellow Door and I never looked back. It's close to my work and I just pop on by during my lunch break and Vivian makes me look as good as new.

Vivian is truly fantastic with cut and color! She listens carefully and tells you what she recommends and I trust her and have never been disappointed. I saw her first with Groupon and have been coming to her ever since. I was treated professionally and warmly. For those Groupon users that have bashed Vivian, I cant even envision their reviews which are so out of character. I chalk them up to deal-seekers with an entitled attitude who push for more than what the Groupon states they are purchasing. Finally, I’d like to add, on Vivian’s recommendations, I purchased a high-quality round brush—she pointed me to the store with the best price.
