Yellow Submarine Kids Salon-West

When I walked in I was relieved to find the salon empty. I was greeted by Donna who immediately welcomed my son and I. My son is neurodivergent so he just walked right in and went straight to work with the little fidget spinners they had on the wall. I was extremely nervous as if it were my first time but after we spoke and got my son in the chair. She got busy. She was gentle, soft spoken and fast with the scissors. We couldn’t get to the clippers but she did awesome nevertheless. I left very happy and satisfied with the outcome.

I take my son here for a haircuts because they say they are trained to work with autistic children. We have had good experiences in the past but Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the experience today . I thought a lot before posting this but I think I’m doing the right thing! The stylist pulled my son’s hair to hold his head in place and didn’t offer him any breaks, even though she cut very quickly. Despite me mentioning that he’s sensitive to the sound of the trimmer, she kept the hair dryer on while the trimmer is working till i told her not to do so . It was as if she’s in a major rush to be done with it and start the next ! I was honestly shocked to see how little empathy she showed. I recently visited the "Yellow Submarine" kids hair salon and it was a fantastic experience for both my 8-year-old daughter and myself. The kid-friendly design is exceptional. They have special lightings in various colors which create a soothing and relaxing atmosphere. In addition, there are Lego table, water drawing wall, iPads, and more to keep the little ones entertained. My daughter, who usually dislikes getting her hair cut, felt incredibly comfortable thanks to the attentive staff. The manager and the stylist went above and beyond to engage with her, making the entire process enjoyable. To save time, they even accommodated me, and Ali did a great job cutting my hair. We will be back and I highly recommend this place. I really fell in love with those lights, so took a picture :-)

Elena was great. She did an excellent job on my nine year old’s hair. We chopped about 6 inches off for a layered bob and it came out so cute! We were there for an appointment for my son, who also got a great cut. And Elena squeezed my daughter in on a busy weekend afternoon and was so attentive and thorough. 10/10 recommend

We had such a great experience at Yellow Submarine Kids Salon! The staff were so patient and welcoming, and they made the whole haircut fun instead of stressful. The salon is super kid-friendly, with cute décor and plenty to keep little ones entertained while they wait. The stylist really knew how to work with children—gentle, quick, and attentive to detail. My child left happy, looking great, and already asking when we can go back. Highly recommend for anyone looking for an amazing kids’ haircut!
