Youla's Hair Studio

Today I went to get my hair cut and a man attended to me. I don't remember his name, but he's tall and bald. I asked him if he could trim the ends of my hair and give me bangs. I explained that I had stopped growing my hair because I had been undergoing chemotherapy, and he made a mess of it. From the moment he started cutting my hair, I realized he had no idea what he was doing. I don't understand why, even though I told him I had cancer and it was my first haircut, he didn't tell me he didn't know how to cut hair. I don't recommend it, don't go there. They should be honest and tell you if they can't do what you're asking. I had waited so long for my hair to grow back.

I’ve been going to get my hair cut and colored by Youla for at least 3 years now. She’s exceptional at her craft. She’s the best stylist at highlighting I’ve ever had and is very detail oriented with hair-cuts! I’d recommend her to anyone that is looking for a new stylist.

Youla did an amazing color correction for me. I had an awful stark base color that didn't blend with some highlights, on top of a bad balayage, that I tried to cover up at home, then grey root growth - crazy mess! It was really complicated and she had to use four or five techniques but she worked a miracle! Now it's all blended nicely with lovely autumnal lowlights and highlights. She also cut my hair meticulously, ensuring every detail was just right. I've been to top salons in San Fran, Dubai, London and Istanbul and Youla is just as talented. I went to my birthday dinner that night and my friends raved at the transformation. My husband was astounded because in 20 years I've never been so pleased with the results getting my hair done. Youla did a great job coloring and cutting my long hair after I colored it on my own. It looked TERRIBLE going into her studio, but by the time she worked her magic I felt like a STAR! I am looking forward to getting my hair done by Youla again soon!

Youla always gives me a great haircut! She takes time and I trust her enough to go with her suggestions. She greets me with a smile and consistently gives me a flattering cut. She has a really good eye for what will make me leave looking put together and sassy!
