Was a walk in appt. Called and asked for prices and they were upfront, stated needed to see length and condition of hair before giving prices. So after hair consultation with Hilda for a haircut prices were affordable. She made me feel like she knew what she was doing. Hair is her passion & I wasnt just another chop, so i added hair color. Yvelisse the owner, also very friendly, helped with color consultation. They are a very busy, non-stop hair salon so my hairdresser did other people after my hair color was applied but i never felt abandoned. Very time efficient and hard working studio. The hair wash and hair massage included, AMAZING. Hilda went above & beyond with my haircut. Someone who knows how to layer curly hair without chopping all your length away, very hard to find. I have know Yvelisse for over 10 years. They have always kept my hair beautiful and healthy. She always exceeds my expectations !!!

The experience was undignified! When I first arrived I was to sit by the bowl. Where the stylist Selena told me I need to take my hair down so she could wash my hair, mind your it was only. 5 plats! I’ve never been to a hair salon where you pay 180$ for a blow out to do your own hair. The wash is part of the hair experience. I never in my life had a stylist tell me to take out my own hair unless it was my mom doing my hair! I don’t think they’re experienced with natural hair because she complained “every time I comb your hair it curls back up!” My hair is 4c hair, ofcourse there’s going to be shrinkage! Meanwhile Water was running down my face while my stylist was combing my hair roughly, another stylists stopped her clients service to wipe my face! My stylist made me feel like I didn't be

Was my FIRST and LAST time going here. I’m a natural hair girl, very thick hair. This place is over priced for one, let’s get that out the way. The person who did my hair was very unprofessional, on and off the phone, burning my scalp while blowing out and curling, curled my hair without asking me how I prefer my hair curled and styled, was rushing, and she didn’t use heat protectant like she was suppose to for my texture hair. With all that being said my hair is damaged and my curl pattern is messed up. I will be going to people who I can trust with my hair, specializes in my texture hair, and that’s very PROFESSIONAL.

Went to Yvelisse Salon for the first time today in need of a quick trim and couldn’t wait until Monday. Looked them up and they were one of the only salons open on Sunday. Trim price was really good. Sara was my stylist not only did she do a great job on my trim but instead of sending me on my way she did a small blow out to top it off and have me looking great leaving the salon. I will definitely be back.
