I had a great experience here. As a man, it’s not always easy finding a place that does clean, precise haircuts, but they did an excellent job. The barber was professional, took their time, and my haircut came out crisp. I received several compliments afterward. I would 100% recommend this salon

As a Black woman, I felt uncomfortable and disrespected throughout my experience at this salon. The entire process was unpleasant. The hair washer was friendly, but she washed out my leave-in conditioner. After washing my hair, I was seated at the front. The next stylist came over, pinned my hair up, and instructed me to go under the dryer. They wanted me to go under the dryer without my hair detangled and without a plastic cap. That would have led to a disaster. I could not believe what was happening. I requested that my hair be styled in rollers, but she firmly stated, “Your hair can’t go in rollers.” This statement was particularly disturbing because I’ve been visiting Dominican salons my entire life, and they’ve never had any issues styling my hair in rollers. I went for a wash, trim, and blowout on 3/2/2024. Paid $90.00. Pros: They accept walk-ins, I didn't have to wait, and they were mostly friendly. Cons: My hair is stiff (I've never had a stiff blowout). The pics were taken less than 24 hours from the service. My hair is usually full even with blowouts, and it just looks limp and lifeless. Not a weather issue because I had the stylist wrap my hair at the end, and I tied it up with a scarf before leaving. I asked for a trim several times, and somehow, the stylist missed that. So I had to remind her after she finished flat ironing my hair. I explained that my hair was uneven (long on the top and short in the back because the back was shaved and I'm growing it out). This place is amazing and never disappoints! I stumbled across them and definitely found a gem:) From blowouts, color, trim and conditioning the services are not overpriced like other salons and you can guarantee quality hair care and friendly staff in a traditional Dominican environment!

I love Zoraida salon. I’m always able to work in, get great service and be out. I highly recommend them for healthy hair.
