I booked a few treatments at the spa as a hotel guest. The facial was amazing; I would highly recommend it. The staff was very friendly and lovely, and I really liked the decor of the rooms. I do have to say that my manicure was disappointing—the polish job specifically; it was uneven coverage, really thick in some places, lots of air bubbles, and started chipping less than 24 hours later. I liked the teas and flavoured water offered. The access to the spa amenities is just the hotel pool and hot tub area; if I were a day guest and not a hotel guest, I would have felt let down by that. I wouldn't call it a luxury spa. Overall, the experience was just okay.
Our experience was not what you would expect from a spa. My husband and I each booked a facial and a massage. The facial was amazing! She did an excellent job and it was so relaxing. But it goes downhill from there. The spa “amenities” is just the hotel pool… so when you’re in your robe trying to relax, you have everyone else from the hotel there (which is mainly kids who want to use the pool) when you’re trying to relax. The only other room they have is the waiting room. Which is supposed to be quiet and relaxing, but there were workers constantly walking in and out and talking loud, doing actual maintenance while guests are there. And the massage I received was… the most strange experience. First of all… the person who gave me my massage smelt so badly. And he was SO rough! Not when it c
Vintage Hotels does not offer exceptional experiences! Your staff is rather rude and snarky! I had been to other spas and never dealt with that type of behaviour. I celebrated two birthdays at Pillar and Post and the Secret Garden Spa. I had requested a warm room when I booked my massage and a body wrap at Pillar. On the day of, I confirmed the room would be warm by reception. The massage was excellent, and the RMT kept me warm. The aesthetician who did my body wrap was snarky when I commented the room was cold. She didn’t prepare my room by bringing in a heated blanket/pad. She cut my treatment time by looking around for the heated blanket. Why didn’t she prepare for one? Last week, I booked a massage at the Secret Garden Spa. I specifically asked for the room to be warm when I booked it
My wife and I came here and each received a facial and a massage. The facial was great. But when they told us we had access to the spa “amenities” for the day, I felt it was false advertising. The amenities is just the pool attached to the hotel. Full of people and was dirty. The massage I had was just ok. But the room was so cold and uncomfortable. I’m leaving this review so people are aware that when they say you have access to luxurious spa amenities, it’s just the hotel pool and hot tub. In my opinion, this was not worth the high prices they charge. I’m very disappointed with what they had to offer.
My experience was a mixed bag. The facial was excellent—easily 5 stars. The aesthetician was skilled, attentive, and delivered a fantastic treatment. The massage was a 1 star letdown. The therapist didn’t check in on the pressure, which was almost non-existent, and failed to address the tight areas in my back and neck. Instead of working on the knots, he just communicated that my C3 was "here", then applied pressure for literally 3-5 seconds, moved on to my C4, did the same thing, then moved onto oiling other areas in a seemingly random pattern. He never returning to the problem areas he pointed out. After I turned onto my back, he left my feet and left side of my body uncovered, which made me feel cold and uncomfortable. When the massage was over, he covered my eyes and left the room
